Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Can't figger out what type of helmet this is.
I do have some pictures of a DDR helmet though.

They are a bit different don't you think.

I have to know what type of helmet that is or I'll loose some hours of sleep tonight.

Might be German WWII era.
Maybe we can find something here.

...yeah- it doesnt look "quite" correct for WW2 German-but here's one of mine that yockster and mikey have had a chance to fondel.....some traces of what looked like camo paint left.....a bit of "green-shows up better in person.....and the only decal that has that distinctive white,almost "reflective" backround that I've been able to find,would be SS....someone has scraped that area out before I got it....again,you'd have to see it in person.....the wearer caught a 'ding' on the left side too....didnt go thru,but sure must've given him a headache... :oops:

....forgot to add....its an M-42 style....liner band confirms it with maker and year stamped.....a trace of the owners name painted inside too....."Krenz"

The remaining paint may be "feldgrau" the standard german "OD"

these are pretty neet , almost could get a guy started .........in another area ? but im holding fast , standing strong , not giving in , nope ....nope ....i wont start collecting helmets , i wont start , i wont , iiiiii
