Probably a field expedient put together. The trick would be ensuring the tines didn't line up with the bore when mounted. SW |

that was my thought - it is selling as a collectible - do you think it originated back then or is this a new device designed to hook a colector that thought he had it all ? |

It could easily be put together to make fast money from "experts" on fleabay. The ne plus ultra of Soviet bajonets were made during the siege of Leningrad. After the battle they were thrown in a trench for some reason. http://www.nirvi.fi/nnbm/page512.html Worth a bundle and often faked... like this pitchfork model. SW |
