Well I did not expect to find this when I stopped in. I didn't even think the guy would be open. After looking around for a bit I spotted it, I was not sure what it what it went to but I know it was not common and I wanted it. It had no price on it so I asked if I could make an offer and he said "how much?" $65 I said . sure , and he rang me up. After a little internet search I found the same bayonet had sold for $375 with one for sale at $450. if you look in janzens note book its on page 37,No 3 Danish Model 1915. He also says they are quite scarce. It is also listed in a great referance book called Collecting Bayonets by J.A. Maddox, on page 124. It goes on the Danish M1889 Krag-Jorgenseen Rifle. Here are some Pics, hope you like drooling over them as much as I do. [/img] |

Wow, that's a fantastic find subhunter. Congrats. The T-shaped blade does look a bit like the Dutch M95 bayonets. Here's a picture. Top one belongs to a carbine No. 3 or 4. Bottom one is standard infantry and belongs to a M95 rifle. Met vriendelijke groet, Martin |
