i had no photos of them mounted , so i fixed and photo'd
please forgive the poor photos i spent no time on that at this point because im going to get a fresh start here soon


they are : BSA MLE mkI* w/p88 mkI 2nd type
LSA SMLE mkI*** w/p03
BSA SMLE mkIII w/p07 hooked quillon
BSA no2 mkIV* w/early p07
EFD no1 mkV w/late p07
BSA no1 mkIII* dispersal w/ausie wwII p07



i rotated this one - wonder if it stayed upright ?

yes , but my photos are nothing special - i think i need to do some experimenting and practising before i undertake my photo record project ive been needing to do ,
these leave much to be desired in terms of lighting and detail , in the past ive had mixed luck - some things have turned out really great but like these some are really bad or maginal ,

i need to be able to produce really good record photos without buying the high tech lighting so ive gotta decide what i did before to get the 'good' results and repeat it

Make it so bright that you need sunglasses.

and i think using the parrallel bar for scale was a mistake in that last one , i thought it would emphasise the length diferances from full length rifle to Smle but i think that 'black band' just distracted ,

ill try that with extra light - i have access to some HD halogens we use on jobsites - i was afraid of washing them out

Is the one with the quillon a repro? I've never seen a real one before, I didn't think any of them escaped "the grinding"

nope - not a repro - its a 1910 mole ,

those are nice, that's the first real one I've ever seen.

Ah, someday..but not before the march gunshow. Never know what you'll find there. The only problem is, the more I learn about all these, the more things i have to be on the lookout for

true , one can never stop looking always something else we need ,

ive currently got this in my book at $750 , i think its realistic based on the prices ive seen , and if i dont die this year it should accrue to that for my heirs

well, let's hope your heirs have to wait awhile

recent auction had one sell at $2300+ , of coarse i doubt the seller saw the cash and i question the value because that one wasnt too nice , and then there was one listed on a site for $2400+ and it was the only one they had , so im just sure that one sold too , i think i posted links to these in the past to bolster my escalating value in my notebook

I think it's time to build a time machine..good grief
