The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. It's a M1912 Cavalry Picket pin Shovel combination.It also served as a farrier's hammer.You don't see these very often.One website said it was experimental.First two pics are before I cleaned it with CLP and fine steel wool.

.....never saw one before...!!!....looks like a great job on the cleanup...

....somehow it seems it'd be heavy,and awkward to use???...what holds the handle in to she shovel part-no slop????

This was one of the tools created with the intention of reducing the load carried by combining several tools. Some worked well some didn't
I haven't seen this particular one before. Good score !!

ive only seen photos , that terrific , ive got a pin and leather scabord , the one bannermans tried to foist off as a scabord for the M1892 bayo , but ive never seen the shovel before --congrats

its hangin lower left of the center cabinet

I've done some research on the internet and one source said that there was also a hatchet and a pick attachment to go with this rig.Probably never find those.
