Acording to "Uniforms and Equipment of the Imperial Japanese Army in Worl War II"...whew, the patch was sewn onto the right breast tunic pocket between 1938 and 1941-ish and this color denotes either Engineers, Vetinary Department, or Transportation...they all three look to be about the same shade to me. The Pin was described as a retirement organization pin(VFW-ish), but is shown in said book on page 29, second from bottom left as an official Japanese medal. I really like that book. LOTs of cool full and half page pics. Sometimes it's big stuff, sometimes it's small. I like it all. http://yesterdaysweapons.com/phpBB2/alb ... pic_id=118 jon |

Ya know, the POL joke was a bit too much. It all was in honest jesting, I assure you. No imitation examples were harmed in the course of this exchange....... I do really like this stuff though. It's a sickness I'm sure. jon |
