Post subject:  Japanese Pin and Badge

Acording to "Uniforms and Equipment of the Imperial Japanese Army in Worl War II"...whew, the patch was sewn onto the right breast tunic pocket between 1938 and 1941-ish and this color denotes either Engineers, Vetinary Department, or Transportation...they all three look to be about the same shade to me.
The Pin was described as a retirement organization pin(VFW-ish), but is shown in said book on page 29, second from bottom left as an official Japanese medal.
I really like that book. LOTs of cool full and half page pics.
Sometimes it's big stuff, sometimes it's small. I like it all.

Ya know, the POL joke was a bit too much. It all was in honest jesting, I assure you.
No imitation examples were harmed in the course of this exchange.......
I do really like this stuff though. It's a sickness I'm sure.
