Anyone have any good titles for bayonets? or a particular author? I would like to find at least 2 good reference books. The little I did know seems to have flown the coop lol

All the ones A Square listed are good plus the web sites.
A couple more:
1. Bayonets, an Illustrated History. Martin J. Brayley
2. The Military Knife and Bayonet. Homer M. Brett

Well that was a little bit of a loaded question. I 'll give you the list of what I have. You will see the ones the others listed, but for a beginner or just a good all around reference Janzens notebook is the best one to get. I think I have spent more on some of my bayonet books than the bayonet cost, but they save you from getting ripped off.

Here we go

Bayonets of Japan , Raymond C Labar

Collecting Bayonets , J.A. Maddox

Bayonets an Illustrated History , Brayley

Seitengewehr History of the German Bayonet 1919-1945 , George T Wheeler

Australian Service Bayonets , Skennerton

The German Bayonet 1850-1970 , Carter,Walter

American Military Bayonets of the 20th Century , Gary Cunningham

British & Commonwealth Bayonets , Skennerton

Bayonets of the Remington cartridge period , Jerry Janzen
