I can't precisely remember how I came into this knife- it was either in a used truck I had bought, or was given to me. I'm leaning towards it being under one of the seats in one of the earlier Chev vans...
In it's case with a 52mm lens cap for size scale.
There's the pre-China Buck 110 Selector folder partially opened.
Main usage blade is rough with a couple of flat spots on the edge.
Scratch marks on this blade suggest abusive use e/g: opening cans.
I've worked on it a bit with a tiny m/b file, but have a very long ways to go for an evenly sharp edge. I'm not really a fan of this blade profile. I find the drop point curve to be a bit on the long side for field work on game, but that's just me. I had a pre-China Gerber Bear Paw that was ideally suited to field dressing white-tails, but I gifted it out...
Model marking on the nylon scales. This knife pre-dates carbon fibre- the best I can call these plastic scales is nylon.
Blades and sheath liners.
The serrator is incredibly dull. I can't decide whether I should take it into the knifery guy to have it sharpened. I've never found use for a serrated blade yet, except for in the kitchen- cutting hot bread.
The bone/antler saw blade is incredibly sharp- it just needs a cleaning to get the velvet out of the teeth. I've got a brass wire brush around here somewhere- it won't take long to clean it.
All three blades used different types of stainless:
Straight edge blade markings.
Serrator blade markings.
Bone saw blade markings.
