I collected along the Tennessee River, Pickwick Basin, in the late 40s early 50s. I have a few items left, most I found, a few I bought, afew water bottles, large celt, grooved ax, some projectile points, shell and copper beads, etc. Where would be the best place to get a fair price for these. I don't wan't to make a killing, but I would like fair market value. |

It may be worth getting a short term membership to Artfact: http://www.artfact.com/ You can get a one month trial membership for free and see if it's worth keeping. In the meantime, you can knock out a lot of research in one month. I typed in "Indian Artifacts" and it returned 563 recent auction sales of artifacts and the prices they sold at. For example: Lot 334 : Four Cases of Indian Artifacts Four Cases of Indian Artifacts Four cases of miscellaneous arrowheads, labeled "Not NC", averaging 50 arrowheads each. Each case is 12" x 16". Estimate : $100 - $300 Realized : $374 Ken Farmer Auctions & Appraisals LLC: Radford, Virginia, US Auction Date : Jan 26, 2008 |
