Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.

These are pretty common in campsites around Texas, where they were processing grain's or nuts. I have seen camps where you might find 6 or 7 in one camp. I found both of these pieces in the same hole. The Native Americans here moved around a lot from season to season, so they would bury their grinding stones in a certain area of the camp so they didn't have to carry them from place to place and they would be there when they returned the next season.

I tried grinding some dried corn we had in the field onetime with one of these. You had more grit and dust than you had corn meal.

......yeah- I think thats why their teeth were in such bad shape-the grit was mixed in no matter how hard they tried and it wore teeth down... :roll:

seriously , it was a hard life , and much shorter than ours , but what innovation - and utilization of locally found materials
