Yesterday's Weapons Forums

Picked this up locally, used, but had to be very little. Included 10 magazne with it. Been without a FAL for awhile. Nice to have one back. Factory Imbel build built for Springfield Inc. Got caught up in the first assault rifle ban and had the buttstock added along with the 'dog knob' on the barrel. All taken off bad features were still shipped with the rifle. Easy deban. I have since replaced the plastic stocks with NOS Isreali wood furniture. Paid 1600 for it at a small local sporting goods store last year. An excellent deal on a factory built FAL.

very nice , have not had a FAL in a long time , mine was an FN import here before they were banned ,

I picked up my first last year or so , more of a M14 guy, but an inch pattern build on an inch patter receiver, with a dozen or more mags, for a price I could not turn down,

have not made it to the range,, yet

Didn't Springfield use Argentine receivers?

I also recall that their thumbhole stocks felt really good compared to the other junk that importers were throwing on rifles back then.

I owned one in 5.56 and paid IIRC $600 for it new. Do you think I feel stupid selling it? I got like $800 for it but now they are through the roof. That and it was a great shooting rifle.
