Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

....is on the way and should be here this Friday! Has anyone here experimented with various stripper clips to determine which ones work the best? There are scores of M98 Mauser clips out there, and I was wondering if the Hakim preferred any particular version. Thanks!

I usually drop the mag & reload it. I am afraid to put my fingers in front of that bolt/carrier!!! :-o

Indeed! I just received the rifle and have it torn down for a thorough cleaning. It is a very well made, nicely machined rifle. Lotsa steel! I used an oak dowel to reach down and trip the bolt hold-open device. I can see where a finger or thumb could get mashed!

Hakim thumb or M1 thumb. With Hakim thumb the thumb is straight chambered with tilt and lock. With M1 thumb the thumb is chambered with a final bolt rotation. Results are the same as is extraction. :str:

The price on those has gotten to almost absurd, the are selling for as much as the Ljungman rifle. Crazy ,I paid $280 for mine when I got it. I did just order 3 MG 13 25rd machine gun mags that can be fitted into it. they were $15 from IMA.

It must have been a Christmas sale. I think they are a little too much now. Drat.

By the way. I run the bolt and carrier forward and keep my hand on the operating rod handle (if you can call it that). Then I press/trip the release catch on the carrier and gently allow the carrier to slide back into battery. No Hakim thumb.
Someone here or on another forum said that Gun Parts was having a sale on magazines and I found the Hakim mags were 1/2 price through Jan 2 so I ordered some. Have to wait to see how well made they are.
