Here is an interesting trio of .22 Walthers from my collection. A rare Walther TP in .22 caliber made in 1968 and a pair of German Buro stamped Walther PP pistols, one in blue and the other in Suncorite finish, which leads me to believe it saw use with the British at some point in its official life.

Quote:
On page 33 of Dieter Marschall's Walther book he writes, "these caliber .22lr British pistols were first delievered with a blue finish, but later
they were reworked and spray painted with "suncorite" which was a black matte, oil resistant lacquer finish."

I would love to know what they were really used for, interesting rumors abound on the subject...

None have import stamps.

Thank you. I think with the passage of time we come to appreciate things more.

I have only shot them a few times and yes they were accurate but really they are too valuable to use, especially the Walther TP 22.
