Post subject: hk 91/G3 clone charging handle stiffness.

hey guys picked up one of those clones and the guy didnt do a good job putting it together so when i work the charging handlet it sticks sometimes and is really difficult to work. i hear cleaning is essential but it has been cleaned and looked over by the guys that i bought it from ($325 not too shabby). i understand their finicky but just looking for some insight tips pointers etc. thanks

Ok, Ive built a couple now, as well as my oldest son, and it comes to this;
Your charging handle tube it NOT linear to the barrel.
This happens with both the Aluminum and the steel recivers, and can be corrected with taking the "cant" outta the tube. Its easiest to true it up by tweeking the barrel, or replacing it (If it takes a kick start) and re-pinning it.
Hope this helps , its not beyond repair.
