just got back from shooting my golani carbine for the first time. I ordered it from J&G sales bout a month ago, and just got time to function test it.
I also ordered 5 extra 35 round mags, and 4 extra 50 round mags that J&G is selling. they're advertised in fair to good condition, but showed up well used. they were color coded various colors with some kind of water based paint, which leads me to believe that they were used for guard duty or in boot camp, and were swapped out periodically by color.
I took all the mags apart and put them in a sink full of hot soapy water and scrubbed them thoroughly, as they were full of sand and oil. the color coding paint came off too, and they didn't have a lot of finish left on them. some flat black high temp paint fixed that, and now they look near new and the ones I used today functioned perfectly. At 19.95 for the 35's and 29.95 for the 50's, I don't think the price can be beat.
The rifle shot much better than I expected, since the rear sight is mounted on the receiver cover, and it does have a little wiggle in it. At 50 yards, had to aim 7-8 inches low, but there wasn't a bullseye left after a couple of mags.
All in all, it impresses me as a pretty good battle rifle, though it would take a scope mounted to the receiver to make a target rifle out of it.

edit: this would be a great candidate for wolf ammo, as it dents the brass so badly on ejection that it can't be reloaded.
