I found a SKS barreled action for 40 dollars. I believe it was made in 79. It is a 0205 factory code in a diamond. Also, it is a pinned barrel. The bore is excellent. I have 3 other original SKS rifles. So this one will be built with a mixture of parts i have plus what i can order. I could try to put it to stock but it won't be matching and I will use this for playing with my inner bubba. The rail thingy i pulled off it looks too ugly and will serve no purpose. I changed the front and rear sight. The rear is a William's peep. The front is a cross hair. |

Saw stocks real cheap, I think from AIM. Important question, is it made for a spike or blade bayonet? |

Niether it does not have a bayo lug. It was minus it from the factory. |

Or it was ground for import or by the importer. If it was made in 1979 it should have had one. The metal band/cap that butts up to the fore stock should have a notch for either a blade or spike. Good news is you can replace the lug/sight assembly & bring it back to military trim |
