Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

A new Ljungman arrived. Looks like it is exactly as described. Wood decent, metal nice, bore looks great.

The knob in front elevates the sights. There is a small window inboard of the knob that has numbers "1" through "7"--indicating the range in hundreds of meters. The built up metal in back is the cartridge guide for reloading with a stripper clip

interesting , thats a very nice rifle , what are the two things sticking out of the back half of the receiver ?

The 'knobs' on the side? They are for cycling the action. The rear dust cover is slid forward & then pulled back to bring the carrier into the rear BHO position. Then you can stripper load the mag, push froward slightly on the rear cover allowing the BHO tab to disengage & then pull back again. WHAM the carrier slams home loading a round. (At least that's how a Hakim works)
