cool , sounds to be an interesting project , have you presold the second [no , im not in the market] to fund this ? or are you fronting it and then listing the completed one in the "for sale"/auctions ?

ive always felt my projects were far to unpredictable as to results as well as timeline to be able to presell anything , and ive tended toward one offs , or favors to my son - which just end up costing me out of pocket ,

I'm going ahead and building two up front. Most of the parts are off the rack here and there anyway so I'm able to pick them up - and I'll probably still have a few spares even after building the second one that I can use on other AK projects...

Here's a view of the parts I have so far - I've left out the small parts (trigger group, trigger guards, pins, etc.)
