Here's a pic of my non-firing (dummy) Vickers gun and a torch cut Bren. I posted the pic on the Enfield forum in reply to an existing thread. I thought it would also look good on this forum.

The Vickers came from IMA and I bought the belt from e-bay. The ammo is some polished used brass cases that I seated a bullet in. The effect pleases me and I intend to build "man land" on the house one day. The Vickers will live there 8)

The torch cut Bren came from Military Gun Supply and boy did they take the torch to it! I haven't finished cleaning it all up yet but intend to use it also as a dummy display unless I have it converted to semi.

Last time I looked, Class 3 Vickers were selling for $20,000 and Brens were $40,000

Now you know why I have a few "dummies"

Nice on both of them, if I get a chance in the AM i'll photo my "dummy" 1919 and my Bren (with the evil cuts). On the Bren i see some are converting them to semi but its still pricey!!

i muxt be getting senile - i could swear i posted to this thread - perhaps somewhere else , but in any event - very nice , id love to have those in my collection but i dont know where id keep them , room is always a problem - i got too much already according to some folks minds

OK guys , im likin what i see but would youall mind shooting a photo from the buttstock looking toward the muzzle so i can see the relationship of the magazine to the rear/front sight ?

i see the rear is nicely fitted for elevation but is the front visible ??????

The sights are off set to the left and the mag is centered. I am just waiting till the day I make mine a semi.

I hope yours is cleaner then mine! Its been hanging there a long time and I'm doing the body work on my old Spitfire (car not plane) and the sanding creates alot of dust. Poor excuse but I'm sticking with it.

AHHHHH _ now i need to see photos of the spitfire too , almost bought one of those once , i love those little two seaters [i consider the jumpseats a moot point] i did mention i think i learned to drive in a TR3 i think ? in 1960 - was a bit of a stretch to see but that was a hoot , and in those days driving was easier for a kid

I'm in the final stages of paint prep. This car has gone from wrecked front and rear (thanks to my step niece) to a pretty straight car. As soon As i'm done I'm going to post the photos of it.

This is what it looks as of today and some before shots.






Alot of work but it gets me ready for my 65 Mustang which is next in line.

Not after all the work I have (myself) put into it. I took the body down to bare metal inside and out. The under side was good so I left it alone. It has a new and well insulated interior and a great running 1100 cc motor. My motorcycle is a 1300 and has about 160 hp compared to this ones 47 hp!!
