Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

My FFL got a FN 49 Venezuelan in 7mm in the shop and I grabbed it quick.Got it for a good price and now I can have a shooter and a saver. There is nothing really wrong with it except some dope filed down the rear peep sight, I will work on trying to get another. every thing matches. I took a pic of them together,both are non import marked. I don't knoe what it is but I really like these rifles. Just Imagine if they had put them into production before the Germans had invaded. Might have made a difference. Now I need a 8mm, 30 06 , and a 308 and I will have them all! :fny: I just got a new century arms flyer and these originally sold for $69!!!!!! now they are $600 and up. I think buying milsurps was a much better investment then real-estate or stocks.

CONGRATS , that is a real beauty , its much nicer looking than any ive ever found or fondled :D


i once hoped to have one of these , but have long since given up the idea - i have way more than i can shoot & clean the way it is ,

That does look nice.

I saw one in 3006 at Cabelas's a year or so ago for under $600. Kinda kicked my self for not getting it.

Found an 8mm Egyptian one at cabellas , they wanted $550 for it. I passed, i have been buying to many other things.

The SAFN 49's are one of the sweetest shooting semi's out there. I would say better than the M1
