Here is the one that I used around 1960 for Air Police at FEW. That was the only SAC base without a landing strip. Atlas

Yes it is blue. We were still using the 1911. The holster was given to me but the magazine pouch I got back then. I even have a baton around here somewhere, it is a new short one.

hi rad , where and when were you stationed ??
I was lead to believe that by 1960 the AP and SAC security had converted over to S&W victory models in 38 special and had stop using the .45 auto ??

There is a Wikipedia article re. the Smith & Wesson Model 15 that states this model .38 revolver was standard issue for the USAF Air/Security Police from 1962 through 1992. Rad's service apparently was just before this time.

I've got a dark blue pistol belt, a much later version than that shown in Rad's picture. It's the nylon material with a vertical weave and the black aluminum quick release buckle. I have no idea what service used this one; it was surplus through one of the mail order outfits about 10 years ago.
