My BHP is only a street urchin compared with yours…. Oh, must practice, practice, practice. I would guess you are partial to BHPs since you shoot competition with them. Best Regards, Mark |

I used to shoot them a lot. I also used my 70 series Colt Govt model for bowling pins. When I shot PPC, I had a 38 race gun by Clark & used the Model 28 shown above for the 'stock' events. For metallic silhouettes, I had an XP-100 rebarreled to 7-08. Also shot a 10" 30-30 Contender in production class. Washed the throat out in that & scored a 6,5 TCU barrel. Incredibly accurate! Still have it. I went through revolvers. Tried a Ruger Super Blackhawk w/ 10" barrel, but I wasn't happy with it. Bought a 10" barrel S&W Model 29 with special 4-way adjustable front sight & shot it loose with mastodon whacker loads. My brother bought a Dan Wesson 44 & that was the real deal! Very much stronger than a Smith! But he moved away to yuppie ville never to be seen or heard of again. I took up railroading & there went weekends off. Haven't shot competition for a long time. If you ever have a chance to shoot silhouettes, it's a great way to learn trigger control. SW |

Hard to get trigger time with work load presently. I'd be happy now to get the BHP on target consistently. My 1911 doesn't have that problem…. Best Regards, Mark |
