Johnny Those magazines have got to be illegal so just send them to me for proper disposal. I don't have a snazzy 1911 as mine is a composite put together. Rad |

...as a side note on 1911's.....recently during our CCW course our instructor told us of his assistant instructor (a local police officer) was so good with a .45 that he could hit a quarter at 7 yards holding the pistol upside down ,but he was so humble he wouldnt brag about it,and that if we asked he'd show us at the range during our qual's....my wife used the CZ82 that I would carry with,so for the heckuvit I decided to use my 1911-A1 shown in the pics earlier in this post....we both did great and easily passed....as the rangetime ended, someone said to him that he was gonna show us how he can nail a quarter.....he opined that he doesnt have a .45 with him.... ....I grinned and said "here-you can use mine"... ....he said ok-load me up 5 rounds.....he couldnt stick a quarter to the target so he used a quarter sized sticky....got back to distance, held it upside down, and fired away-then frowned.....then said to load another 5 into the mag....he shot those off....he then walked back to me,handed me the pistol, and said"I think your sites are a lil' high".....I walked to the target to see he put all the rounds in a hole the size which would easily be covered by a half dollar coin... |

Way back when I was in the USAF I could put 5 rounds in a half dollar at 16 yds with a standard off the rack 1911, but that was with the pistol right side up. Can no longer do it now. I think I am going to have to retake the CCL class as I put it off too long to get my license. Rad |

This is my Colt Combat Elite, I have been carrying it on duty for 25 years, I'm the last dinosaur in my county which includes 3 municipal police dept's and state officers. All the departments around here issue Tupperware, I've been "grandfathered in". |

now thats a handgun for duty , if its needed it will complete the task as started , im due to renew , thankfully a good friend is chief of police in a local community and has his carry class set up to allow my schedule - and my daughters - and her friends , both of those ladies will qualify without a problem from our trip to the range this year |
