What do you think of this? I have one already, but I could always use another.

I think if you got it at the starting price it would be ok as long as if its a matching number pistol. I need to check to see if the serrations on the grips is correct as the wood grips I see were smooth/flat.

I have bought a few firearms from the seller and if you call and ask for the names mentioned they have been helpful to me. I also have that one in my watch list as a tease for me. They have done lay-a-way for me in the past also.

94's were not well rated but they seem to be going up in price for nice ones, and I have a perfect example already but I been thinking of buying a later war version that looks like its been used. You had better buy it before the voices in my head win!!

Heres my 94--All matching incl the 2 mags. it was covered in cosmoline and all I have done was wipe down the out side. It was one of those VERY lucky finds that don't often come along!

I just noticed yours is exactly a year older then mine! When I was offered mine I didn't have it to look at and I had to go by a description. It was a package deal of my 94 and a 14 both with holsters and mags. The price was good so I committed to the deal with out seeing the pistols.

I guessed that I would sell the 94 to help defray the costs and I had not read or heard anything good about the 94's. When I pulled the 94 out of the holster and say it gunked up with cosmoline I decided to keep it.

The wood grips are correct for the later 94's but they were flat sided. I think someone serrated/checkered these grips. Have you ever fired yours? I have fired my 14's and was unimpressed with the power of the round and the cost of feeling that each round was a little over a dollar!

Time to reload!!

All is well with the wife, shes got her vision, and that swelling is gone, though she probly coulda kept it as a "Shooting hold" :lol :lol :lol

Im always looking at what country deem acceptable as regards to finish.
prewar,
German stuff seems great in outside, but plenty of milling marks inside, American guns are clean inside and out, and some countrys are plain crude, like India.
late war stuff just shows how irrelevent finnish really is, when you really need guns.
Im just getting into Japanese "Stuffs" ;)

Well I am going to pass on this one due to the P38 pistol I am going to get and the enfield 1Mk3 that I have to come up with cash for. I just dumped 1100 pounds of lead so I think that will cover it. Looks like someone will get this one.

The grips seem wrong to me also. My guess is that someone added the cross hatching to the correct flat sided grips in the past. If I was not owing to others I would bid on it and Lay-a-way it. But I'm tied up too much and I should not be buying any firearms at the moment.

did someone on the board get it? I wonder how hard it would be to have gotton correct grips. I know that there are a few places making repo grips for military pistols.

yes a good job on checkering the grips. Mybusa the grips on the Type-94 pistols are not numbered to the pistol. Also, for Subhunter76 I just purchased a set of repro Bakelite grips for the Type-94, they are marked with the company's mark (on the inside) and they take a bit of filing to get the fit correct but they look good.
