The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. I bought some of the Ranger, and am happy with the feed. Somebody (loaned) me seven rounds of SXT, and that worked good as well.
Just something on the upside...I read torents of posts all over the net about how fickle these things are. Frankly, I was starting to dread shooting it. Sure in the fact that I was going to have to brush-down the feed ramp and all sorts of other stuff.
1st outing was 100 rounds of Win ball(target)...one fail to feed.
2nd outing was 100 rounds American Eagle...zero failures.
3rd was today. 50 rounds of AE again, plus two types of HP...zero failures or stops.
I'm keeping it clean, and it's working fine.
Former owner swears he fired less than 100 rounds through it, and it IS imaculate..

I have had a '73 PP for many years & it's picky about what it will feed besides hard ball. Rem HP is all I have found that will reliably feed.

For expansion, I use lead bullets - the Meister brand are soft & should expand well.

With hard ball & cast bullets, it's 100% reliable. SW
