Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Awhile back I put on layaway 4 1934 Beretta pistols dated from 1937 to 1941. I got them awhile back and one of them has a threaded barrel on it. Three are like new but the 1937 looks very used and has a threaded barrel.

So I have been researching this thing for some time and I wonder if it may be one of the pistols issued to the Italian Fascist Secret Police known as OVRA the Organisation for Vigilance and Repression of Anti-Fascism.

I found a photo in a book at my dentist office with a Beretta with a silencer and the caption says it was used by OVRA. I at this point only have a scan of the photo until I go back and ask to barrow the book to get a good copy of it.

There is not much I can find on line so I thought I would see if some here know more about it. Here are the photos of the pistol and it's markings and the scan of the photo and caption.

Thanks
