Yesterday's Weapons Forums

The mail lady dropped off my latest Nagant addition. I have a total of three now. A 1909, 1910 and now this 1943 Tula. I wonder looking at it if it has been rebuilt?

The grips are dark wood and I cannot find any rebuild marks like the box with the slash. With out taking it apart the cyl and frame are matching to each other and the bore looks as if it has not been fired.

My big question of the day is does any one know what the T.K.H stands for on the left side of the frame? I am unable to make out the right side tang markings also.

Just for fun here are the 1909 and 1910 Nagants, sorry I don't have good photos of them. One is a double action only or is it single action only, I can't remember.

The standard Russky refurb mark is a small rectangle with a line dividing it in half - I don't see it.

In English TKH = TKN. Never heard of it before. SW

I'm wondering if it's just the simple initials of the owner? The pistol looks like it's brand new and not the all one color refurb.

I've heard that they were given as a presentation piece marking various occasions for service and what not, well after they went out of service as the standard sidearm.

Kinda like a nice 1911 for 30 years of service...

Maybe this was one of those.

the question is how do they shoot???.I took mine out and shot it with some of that hot shot ammo.it will print M.O.G.
