I took these old clunkers out to the range the other day to try out a box of Fiocchi ammo I picked up at a recent gun show. You'll notice that all four holes in the target, 2 from each pistol fired at 15 yds, are nicely elongated. This was really no suprise since the last time I shot these pistols many years ago I was using some old 7.63 military loads with the same results. The problem with both pistols is that they have little or no rifling.

I'm perfectly happy with the results since I bought the guns for their looks not for their accuracy. :bigrin:

Century Arms was selling them as parts guns (with some missing parts) back in the 1980s. The Bolo was missing the magazine floor plate, spring and follower; the Broomhandle was missing the complete rear sight assembly (all the remaining numbered parts matched) and the lanyard ring. After hitting a few big gun shows I was able to scrounge up the parts I needed to make them whole except for the lanyard ring for the Broomhandle. They are fun to shoot altough jams are common because the Bolo's extractor needs some work or replacement and I should replace the Broomhandle's recoil spring with a newer, stronger unit.

I like broomhandles but sold the only one I had to fund Italian stuff.

If I hit a big scratch card, I want an Italian contract flat side. Sw

I wonder if The barrel from a 96 will fit a bolo frame + the other way around bolo to 96 frame ????

I like the bigger 96 grip and the shorter bolo barrel.To make a gun from the 2 would be nice...
