OK here's the first of the pics (can only get 2 pics at a time before my battery dies) These were well cared for by the owner before he passed.
A "Wauregan Arms Co." out of Norwich CT 12ga top break 30" Barrel. Stamped "Full Choked" Case colour about gone, Barrel turning plum, decent bore (Needs cleaning). lock up still tight. Not sure of age but C&R ok. $ 70
An Iver Johnson "Champion" 12 ga. 30" barrel stamped "12 gauge full choked. Barrel & Lug forged in one" Faint case colour remaining blue turning plum. Nice bore (needs cleaning) Really tight lock up 4 letter code indicates this was made in the 20's. (If I could I would keep this one & convert it to a target rifle in 38-55 or 32-40) C&R $ 85
A CS Shattuck 12 ga. "Trigger Lever" 32" barrel stamped "Leader". The story behind these is that after the civil war, Major Charles S Shattuk of the 6th Vermont Infantry Went into the gun making business. These were made sometime between 1880 & 1908. This is a later model but can't nail down a date of production. Buttplate is cracked (repro's available) but the wood is in great shape. Bore has some shallow pitting. Black powder only. Thw lever on the side, when lifted, unlocks & is pulled out for easy takedown.
This is a really nice example of a seldom encountered manufacture $ 125
A 45 cal. Percussion Kentucky rifle made from a kit. The owner remebers her father making this in the early to mid '70's. Barrel is a home done brown, wearing thin. Actually gives it a nice rustic look. From what I can see of the bore, it looks real nice. Brass blade front sight, primitive v-notch rear. Stainless nipple. Don't know how to price this for her so I am entertaining offers.
