I have an older friend that is parting with some of his older projects that have been laying around. One of these is a M95 in 8x50r with a sewer pipe for a barrel. The part about it is he says it has a double set triggers on it.

When he/we find it it's a freebie to me. I have many M95's long and short but I have never seen double set triggers. He says it looks like a sporter job but until we find it we will see. My first thoughts is to put the trigger set on one of my long M95's.

Has anyone seen this type of trigger set on an M95 and did they come with this set up from the factory? I am looking for just an easy swap with out any mods to my rifles. Any ideas?

First off.....How you felling? Glad to see you around here again.

These were fairly common on hunting rifles back Pre-WWI I think I have some pics around of them on sniper M95's rifles. Many post war conversions also had these on them.

Some were made during the war for military use - the majority were made up for the hunting market inthe 1920s. You often see DST rigs on "Guild Guns" = fancy sporters.

I have a DST set up for a Carcano that was made in Austria during the 1920s. With work being so crazy, I haven't had time to inlet my worst M91 stock for the mechanism.

Oh... mybusa... the black widow spidey you sent with the rifles... has passed away enroute. I know it would have made a swell pet, but... **sob** not to be.

I would have named it... Boris. Please excuse me - I need to go outdoors for some power wailing. SW

Thanks both for the photo. I like that sniper rifle. Some days are so so and some have still been bad. I'm trying for mental health to get back to you folks on days like today where I'm unable to move around and am in bed most of the day.

I talked to the guy today and he says it is an old but nicely engraved hunting rifle. He can't remember if its an old conversion or was built from the factory.

Sounds like a Guild Gun. Those were sweet old rifles put together by genuine master craftsmen.

They started with military leftovers and turned them into hunting rifles. I hope you get it!
