I looked all over for instructions how to take the bolt apart on an early Steyr straight pull. Lots of vids on M.95s but only this one for the earlier models. A darn useful vid! SW

Lo & behold, Numrich actually sent the right parts the 1st time. Got the firing pin and an extractor while I was at it.

Information that may be helpful when using the vid: the nickel trick works like a champ. When you are ready to put the bolt back and the gap is wider than the nickel, take it back apart & start over - it won't go back in the rifle that way. The nickel should fit just right. When you have it apart, note well how the flat side of the firing pin and lug inside the bolt interface. I used an 8mm mouser case & it worked fine to push the firing pin in far enough to take it apart.

If installing a new extractor, it may need to be hand fitted. Carefully measure the "legs" on the bottom and file to fit. I also did a little draw filing along the outside so the bolt would slide freely.

Wearing gloves might be worthwhile, too... prevent those pesky blood blisters when the nickel falls out. **SNAP!!! OW!!!** :-o :oops: I'll be sure to do that next time! ;) SW

Im glad they had the parts, and thanks for posting the video on breaking down the bolt, I can use that too.... never had my bolt apart. now you can enjoy!!!
