Well here is a new to me rifle. I think it is a 1915 marked Budapest Carbine with a lot of metal and stock markings. A friend had it in a box of about 60 misc rifles and he wanted 65.00 for it. I did find 6 that I wanted but he was going to keep the others

I am now trying to but a sling on it but have found that the leather loops have shrunk up abit!

You should have seen the other rifles I found!

A true WW2 Mauser 22 trainer (mas built) he bought in the 60's in Germany.
A 1920's French 22 trainer-all matching looks just like a Lebel but shrunk.
A NICE Spanish destroyer in 32 ACP.
A Chinese 22 rifle that was a take down rifle (2 parts).
A cool looking Erma (made in Germany) 22 that looked like an M1 Carbine.

Oh yeah there was a lithgow 1944 Enfield that looked new with all matching parts including wood and an Underwood M1 carbine that he somehow brought back from Israel a long time ago.

But I was happy with this one!! I did offer to throw away the 22 trainers into my car!!

Oh I tried

He said he got it from a kibbutz armory and it was one of the ones never issued it just sat in a rack. It was very nice with a M2 stock. He said years ago he gave it to his ex wife and promised her he would not sell it but would keep it for her.

Oh well at least the bug has been set.
