Howdy all. Due to a recent job loss I am in a position of maybe having to sell off some of my mil-surps. Of these I am looking at my two 8x57 straight pulls, a Steyr M95/24 in military configuration and a Steyr M95M with some pitting and a sporterzed stock. Both have the internal clips and usable home made extractors that I was making up a few years back from P17 extractors. I can not find any pricing info on these and was wondering what they might bring and if there was any interest from members of this forum. I would rather sell them to you guys then to go the Gunbroker route. Thanks in advance for any info.

Conrad,

Good to see you posting again! I still use the P-17 extractor you made for me a few years ago, and it works great! As for pricing, the M.95/24 should bring around 300 - 400 if complete. If you still participate at gunboards, PM prez1981. He's a diehard Steyr collector and just might be in the market.

As for the sporterized M.95M, I am interested and it would not be right for me to offer a value. If you come up with a price, please let me know.

Best of luck with the job search! SW

Hey Nebr, thanks for the info. FYI - I was working with a company that sold, installed and serviced automated equipment and meters for gas wells. That job took me to Buffalo WY. They backed out of Wyoming and wanted to send me to West Virginia and I said no thanks. I am telling you this cause I see your location is listed as the North Antelope Coal Mine which if I understand right is near Gillette. If so, we be neighbors now.....haha. Might have to get together some time and do some shooting... I love it out here. Just gotta find a job now, and hope I don't lose too many mil-surps in the meantime.

The coal bed methane biz is going strong around Gillette - might be some possibilities that way. At least you're in an area with jobs to be had.

There's a milsurp guy in Gillette - I've got his name around here somewhere. You'll run into him at Wyo gun shows. He usually has some decent stuff.

I still live in Nebr but am in Bill every day... except this week. I am out to N Antelope often enough to get mail there! ;) SW

Is the guy from gillete the one that hits all the local gunshows and wears a ponytail? if so, I bought several things from him while I was up there. good source for parts, too. y'all have a good one, Keith

Hey Nebr....

Looks like I am working now and only went through a couple mil-surps to get us through. I do still want to part with the military config rifle so if you are going to make your way to Buffalo any time let me know and we can work something out. I decided to keep the sporter for now as I have this strange urge to use it to take an elk one day. Maybe after that I will be able to part with it.

I don't get to Buffalo but we might hook up at a Casper gun show. It's kinda crazy with work these days.. like no days off. SW

Hey all, I did list my extra M95M on Gunbroker if anyone is interested. Search for Steyr M95M and let me know if you have any questions via the Gunbroker e-mail function. Thanks....
