Yesterday's Weapons Forums

I got this from our pal, Kaintuck quite a while back but just got time to seriously shoot it. No, I did not sporterize it... it was one of the cut back rifles Sears sold in the 30s.

You see all kinds of sporters from these... in one of my old collecting books, there's a pic of a "Chamois" rifle made from a Swiss Vetterli. Back in the day, these weren't worth a lot, I guess.

Since the barrel was cut back already, I shortened it a little more & it still shoots well! I have cobbled together a front sight & have a dovetail cutter on the way for a better sight. I'll try to get a night time shot of it going off - it should be a real flamethrower! SW
