Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

In about 1970 I bought what I thought was a 1911 and I noted at the time it was the only one in the lot that of about 20 that had a notch and splice making up the pistol grip. I just recently found out that this was most probably an 1896/1911 conversion since the stock and all had matching numbers. Are the 1896/1911s more valuable than the 1911s?

yeh, I now have a K31 and no 1911. I could probably buy 1 1/2 more K31 or 2 for the current price of a 1911. Perhaps that is a better alernative :-? :-? .
