Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

This Model 1897 Cadet was made in 1898 so considered antique. Rear sight has two scales, one for the 7.5 GP90 round on the left side (1200 meters) and another for the reduced loads on the right side (400 meters). Reduced loads were used by the younger cadets.

These rifles were manufactured 1898-1927 at Eidgenoessische Waffenfabrik, Bern and had a total production run of 7900.

This M97 is stamped with the Zeughaus Zurich Armory stamp on the rear comb of butt stock. You can see the ZZ for Zeughaus Zurich in the shield.

Shoot the same round as the 1889 which is GP90 (equivalent to 30-40 Kraig when reloading), not GP11 like the K31. There was also a reduced load which was used by the young cadets. Left side of rear sight shows the increments for GP90 and the right side is for the reduced load.
