Hello All ,and Happy New Year. Four years ago I purchased this all matching (except for the buttplate) rare 1900 short rifle... As you can see it had some issues. It had the original butt plate removed and a bakelite one put on. Also, the forstock was cut in two pieces, and the tigerstriped stock was sanded down smooth. Well ,I decided to put it back into military configuration. I met a stock maker named Bob at a gunshow and had him restore the stock for me. Here he is, working on the stock... Here is the rifle now, I am pleased with his work. Here are some of the proof /inspection marks on the metal. This turned out better than I expected, Im glad I could bring her back. Here's a funny one, I bought a buttplate on e-bay 3 yrs ago and the number is 192, my rifle is 162, LOL! Thanks for lookin. |

There were only 176 private series 1900 shortrifles made . This one is 162. Most of the 18,750 short rifles produced were turned into K11's.( I believe). |
