Two of my K31's have stocks that were spliced. This one is spliced on the butt stock. jeff

This one was spliced in the forearm. They are both from the 1943 year and both have electro-penciled numbers on the bolt sleeve. I have not had much luck lately finding any more. jeff

Prolly had a hard time getting cured walnut blanks in '43 so they made due with what they had. To me that would add a premium to the piece. |

1943 seems to be the most common year for splices and my limited knowledge also shows most are with electro penciled bolts. The craftsmanship is outstanding but then again we would expect nothing less from the Swiss! jeff |
