Both have an 'MF' stamped over the original '1895' in the stock cartouche. Apparently they're reworks of some sort .. anyone here have an idea as to the origin of the 'MF' stamps? The one in the lighter stock might look a little rough, and its original stock serial may have been overstamped with the one matching the metal, but I've yet to find a mismatched number on this one, right down to the cleaning rod! I have read that the star of david stamp was nothing more than a trademark of Loewe of Berlin at the time. 02.JPG [ 73.42 KiB | Viewed 3641 times ] 03.jpg [ 75.31 KiB | Viewed 3641 times ] |
