Anyone seen any FR-8 rifles for sale lately? At shows or shops. I have one in great shap I put on hold, they want $395 for it, I think I paid $275 for the last one I bought years ago. Not sure how much more value there will be in them. |

Watch the wood from the rear action screw to the wrist. The hardwood they used liked to split in this area. For a '98 receiver, some can be soft. Have a 'smith run headspace gauges through it, and inspect the locking lug channels. Can be fired with commercial .308 soft point stuff. Moderate pressure handloads are even a better idea...
