But then his big Brother Here (1876 Danzig) would be lonely, along with it's nephew (1888 Spandau 71-84) :lol

The 11.15X60R is one of my favorite milsurp cartridges! I have been looking for a 'guild gun' on the auctions but they all sell beyond what I would pay.

Saw one that was well done with DST & it was probably a bargain at the 600 the seller wanted... I just did not have that much when I saw it.

I have had very good results using the dedicated Lyman bullet mold & 28.0 grains of AA5744. Accurate & not too tough on the shoulder.

I see yours is marked 10.95 caliber... my Spandau long rifle is marked "11.05" I have always wondered about that. SW

The markings 10,95 & 11,05 are the actual measured bore diameter when the rifle left the arsenal. This practice continued through WW1 at least as my 1918 DWM P.08 has the same marking on its barrel. The seemingly wide varaition in acceptable size was common since manufacturing tolerances couldn't be held as tight as nowadays. For example,.30-40 Krag barrels were accepted with diameters as small as .307 to.309 Thanks for the load data,I've been looking for some as the can of Pryodex CTG is getting mighty low-TR

Bruce

I have been meaning to ask you this, what program do you use to make all your photos into one? This would be much easier then posting a bunch of single ones.

Thanks

I use an old program called Adobe Photodeluxe 3.0 It's kind of a
photoshop-lite. The learning curve is real easy & has basic & advanced settings. The advanced settings are pretty basic if you ask me. I can make you a copy if you would like.

Gatsby, This is MY carbine....there aren't too many left like it but this one is MINE. :lol This one is a keeper although I may be parting with my Mod. 71 long rifle & the 71/84 to help pay for repairs to my wife's van :(

Can you send me photos of it? I would like to look at it and compare it to my 71. These rifles are not seen around here much.
