I picked up this one some time back. I thought it would be an interesting addition to the collection. I wont be shooting it. There is a crack at the wrist on both sides of the stock and it looks to have been pinned at some point. It's a Danzig, can't make out the date on it.

Looks like a turked Gew88, had the mods for "S Patronen" And standard mauser stripper clip feeding....no need for the enblock clip. I would try to repair the stock & shoot that beauty!!!!!

yup, looks like a nice turked with 88/05. slug the bore before shooting, but 8mm commercial ammo is loaded lightly in america because of these rifles. it could slug anywhere from .318-.321, depending on what kind of barrel it has. czech made barrels are the tight ones, and they should have a czech lion stamped on the top of the barrel if you remove the shroud.

I think the turks all are german .321 barrels. The .318 barrels wound up in south america. At least that's my understanding of it. Best to look at the markings though to be sure
