pretty close ET2ss i found mine in a gun case in an antique shop which i had visited a thuosand times and i didn't see it until i asked the guy if i could see another rifle in his case (gew98/danzig 1916),so i was looking at that and in the dark corner was this little gem barely visible from the outside of the case.
the gew98 stayed at the store and the kar88 came home with daddy.
p.s the gew98 has been reunited with it;s cellmate ,i went back a week or two later and brought it home,,,,ahhhh life is good.
I too came across a Kar in a shop such as this but it was a bit older
