Some loads for 8x57 Mauser

Here a some from my trip to the range today.

All brass Remington commercial.

150 gr. Hornady Spire point
42.0 gr. European cut-sheet pulled down from Turkish milsurp
Primer CCI 300
Average muzzle velocity 2564 fps.
Standard deviation 14.75

I continue to be impressed with the performance and consistency of this milsurp Turkish powder. I get some of my best test results using this powder, which is now 60 years old.

185 gr. Remington PSP (bulk bullet)
44.0 gr. IMR 4064
Primer Fed 210
Average muzzle velocity 2209
Std. deviation 28.92

150 gr. Turkish milsurp pull-down bullet
44.0 gr. IMR 4895 milsurp pull-down powder
Primer WW LR
Average muzzle velocity 2178
Std. deviation 52.04
