The first item is that the following is intended as a starting point only. There's nothing I could find for this caliber with the custom bullet bullet mold available from Lee & started from scratch.
Looking over 6.5x55 and 6.5 Carcano data, I went on the conservative side with results that while far from great offer a place for others to start.
The bullet is from a custom Lee mold. Lubed with Alox and gas checked, it weighs 175 grains. I used half & half wheelweights and linotype. Which worked well as far as nice, sharp corners on the bullet. Softer alloys leave rounded grease grooves and I just don't want that.

Grafs had 6.5x54 brass from Privi ( Serbia) in stock. I started to buy a bag of 100 & noticed for $1.50 more I could get primed brass. Given how scarce primers are getting, I jumped right on that one.
Looking 4 loading manuals over, I went with 2400 powder and 13.5 grains seemed conservative. Fired cases showed no signs of pressure or primer protusion.
The group here was fired at roughly 50 yards. I shot from a table with no rest. Wind was 15 - 20 mph & the target did move around on me. Factor in that I wear tri-focals, I was not disappointed.

I didn't bring a rest but the chronograph was there. 175 grain bullet over 13.5 grains of 2400 clocked an average of roughly 1450 fps.
As time permits - and it ain't permitting much these days - I'll get back out there for more load development. SW
