Was there a CD that came with Barnes Cartridges of the World, and that included a database? I thought there was and that I had copied it to my hard drive, and I did find a 'Barnes Cartridges.wdb' microsoft works file, but it only has one entry. Also a CartridgeCDdirectory-Bonus.pdf, which appears to be a digital copy of the paper book, but no database (or even Excel spreadsheet) other than that single entry microsoft works .wdb file.
I recently came on a .300 AAC Blackout case in my pile of .223 range brass and realized it was almost a cut down and necked up .223. And that rabbit hole led me to wonder what commercial cartridges were based on the .223. And it is a pain to flip through the paper book trying to answer that question. A database search would be so much easier.
Apparently the 30-06 is also a popular parent case, both for commercial ammo and for handloaders.
