Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I have been told the SF is made for 1909's and not to use it in an 1891 action. I have about 100 rounds of it but haven't used it. Also have 100 rnds of reloadable Prvi kicking about here

Don't know about the corrosive properties of SF but I would treat it as such just in case

It is corrosive, even though it has been advertised otherwise by many vendors.

is this common to advertise non - when its in fact corrosive ? how common is this ? is it because the powder is non and the primer is corrosive ?

I took your advise and removed 2 bullets, dumped the powder and fired the casings 4" away from a sheet of clean metal. After 2 weeks in the garage there was no rust and the residue that was there just wiped off with my finger.

I also tested the powder to a flame (safely of course) and it burned with a nice steady burn. Now to test the ammo in the rifle when I'm feeling better.
