I went to Cabellas Sunday and was pricing a few things. They wanted $49.99 for a 25lb bag of shot. :-o Sot shell primers were $3.57. Are these the going rates. I paid $9.99 for the last bag of shot I bought.

I did a little math, and that works out to over $3 a box of 25 just for the shot. Unless you were reloading a premium load( such as Turkey) it would not pay to reload.

It always hits me hard because I stock up at lower prices. When I run out and have to re-supply, Its like a slap in the face.

If you ask me Cabela's is on the high side along with Gander Mtn. I do shop there but don't buy much. If you look around you will find it cheaper.

I agree that Cabbellas is high. I really only went because I promised my 15 year old son a trip there for his birthday. I only bought a few small things. I priced a Leatherman knife that I had also priced at Wal Mart, and it was $20 cheaper at Wal Mart.
