I was reading the Lyman manual #48 & they say AA 5744 is a good powder for cast in this caliber. I only have one 8mm mold - the 205 grain gas check for 8x56R but thought I could size those to .323 and shoot them in my commie M.95M.
I was right! They only list a 165 grain bullet, so I approximated what I would need for a 205 grainer - WELL under max.

Five shots went:
1 - 1525
2 - 1561
3 - 1516
4 - 1509
5 - slam fire
I shot 3 fairly tight groups @ 50 M with this being the best by a little.
My comments in the chronograph book - 'try a little tighter crimp' and 'don't slam the bolt home!'
My commie M.95M has a light trigger and the firing pin will drop if the bolt is slammed home too vigorously. I'll try this load in my Vergueiro some time. SW
