Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

What's the best shellholder for 9mm Largo? I'm using 38 super dies, but the shellholder isn't quite right. SW

? what I usually do is bring a shell down to this shop that has boxes & boxes of old reloading stuff, dig until I find one that works. My next day off I can run down there & see if I can't scrounge something up for you.

I use an RCBS #16 that came with my 30 mauser dies. Works fine with starline brass.

Hmmm... 30 mauser is about the same as 9mm luger. I'll try that when I get home.

I test fired it for function and was very happy with it. I loaded speer 115 grain jhp bullets over 5.5 grains of Bullseye and seated so the OAL was 1.320 The Astra 400 fed the hollow points like a champ! :bigrin:

It seemed a lot stouter than 38 acp... not quite as hot as a 38 super. I like it!!!

Lo & behold, there's a dedicated site - www.9mm largo.com modern loading data and a good write up of ther various arms chambered for that caliber.

I ordered 9mm largo brass from Grafs - I expected 9x23 but it was dedicated largo brass. That & cheep lee 38 super dies.

A lot more fun than I thought it would be! 8-)

Yep! The 9mm Luger shellholder is close enough for RR work! :bigrin:

Now to load all my Largo brass... after a nap.
